ADMISSIONS POLICY

Applicants to an OCC Degree program must demonstrate academic readiness and a commitment to Christian scholarship and personal integrity. Admission is based on a holistic evaluation of academic achievement, character, and purpose.
Minimum Requirements
Educational Background:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED or recognized homeschool credential).
Applicants transferring from another accredited college or university must submit official transcripts for evaluation.
Application Materials:
Completed application form with personal statement of educational and vocational goals.
Non-refundable application fee (if applicable).
English Proficiency:
Students whose primary language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English language.
Interview (as required):
An interview may be requested to assess readiness for academic study and participation in the institutional community.

Students who have completed previous coursework in comparable accredited programs may be eligible for transfer credit, subject to evaluation by the Admissions Office.
A maximum of 15 credit hours may be granted through testing or prior learning assessment for approved Building Strong Foundations (BSF) and School of Ministry (SOM) courses.
Transfer credits must reflect a grade of C (2.0) or higher and must align in content, scope, and academic level with the OCC curriculum.
All transfer credit evaluations are final upon approval by the Registrar.

Oasis Christian College recognizes that significant learning may occur outside traditional academic environments. The Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) process provides students the opportunity to earn academic credit for college-level knowledge and competencies gained through professional experience, ministry involvement, military service, independent study, or non-credit training.
Students may request CPL consideration if they have acquired relevant learning through one or more of the following:
Professional or vocational employment
Ministry leadership or service roles
Completion of non-credit courses, workshops, certificates, or training programs
Military training or service
Independent study, research, or personal development activities
